Ara Ake is Aotearoa New Zealand’s future energy centre.  Ara Ake is a national organisation with global reach. We are purpose-driven with a mission to accelerate the demonstration, commercialisation, and deployment of energy innovation to support Aotearoa New Zealand’s transition to a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable energy future.

What we are seeking:

We are looking for a collaborative professional to support the delivery of the Ara Ake portfolio of projects and investments through the production of robust research and analyses.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing research and analyses relating to specific opportunities and projects, including local and global opportunities to support our ambitions as both a launch pad and landing pad for energy innovators.
  • Supporting the development of Ara Ake’s knowledge hub and the use of robust evidence to inform the delivery of Ara Ake activities.
  • Contributing to and leading research projects as required.
  • Developing, maintaining and contributing to internal systems, including website tools, that support robust evidence and data gathering and management.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Previous research experience (professional or academic, quantitative or qualitative) preferably with a project focus.
  • Energy experience (industry, policy, regulatory, consultancy, other) 
  • Commercialisation and/or innovation experience
  • Strong technical writer and project management experience
  • Research degree is preferred 
  • Confident with a variety of software products and platforms including Microsoft Office. Prior knowledge of Airtable would be an advantage.
