The FlexForum considered perspectives on the flexibility ‘needs’ of DER owners.
The focus was identifying the information needed by DER owners to decide to invest in DER, and in specific technical capability, to maximise the net benefit to the household or business from the DER and, potentially, from supplying flexibility services.
A key insight was the importance of clarity about the opportunity to supply flexibility services to decisions by upstream equipment manufacturers and service providers to invest in and offer the technical capability needed to support the supply of flexibility services.
