The Hydrogen Council’s Q2 Hydrogen Speaker Series will bring together leading industry voices to discuss how hydrogen can strengthen New Zealand’s energy independence.

The Hydrogen Council invites you to the Q2 Hydrogen Speaker Series in New Plymouth, bringing together leading industry voices to discuss how hydrogen can strengthen New Zealand’s energy independence and long-term resilience.
This timely discussion will explore what role domestic gas from Taranaki can realistically play, the evolving role of hydrogen now and into the future, the practical realities of LNG imports, and how we can reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels while strengthening critical energy infrastructure. The focus will be on how we enable a more resilient, low-emissions and affordable energy future for New Zealand.

Entry is from 7:45 a.m, with a light breakfast and coffee available from 8:00 a.m. The formal programme begins at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome from Hydrogen Council CEO Dr. Linda Wright, followed by an introduction to our leading industry speakers. The morning concludes with a facilitated Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with speakers, followed by time for networking, with the event concluding at 10:30am.
