The Secretariat of the Applied Doctorates Scheme has launched a new national initiative funded by MBIE. Delivered by a consortium of four universities, University of Auckland, Massey University, University of Otago, and Victoria University of Wellington, the Secretariat is based at the University of Auckland.

The Scheme will support multiple cohorts of PhD students over five years, with projects co-developed by academia and industry partners. The inaugural theme is Aotearoa’s Path to Energy Innovation, supporting research into renewable, equitable, and resilient energy solutions grounded in New Zealand’s resources, emissions goals and cultural values.

Ara Ake is available to support innovators and researchers in the development of their proposals - feel free to contact info@araake.co.nz for more information.
