Every month our Head of Industry and Government Engagement Jonathan Young hosts the Taranaki Energy Update - a forum dedicated to sharing insights, challenges and opportunities across the Taranaki region’s evolving energy landscape.
For the final session of the year, the Updates were closed out with a special deep dive into 'Taranaki’s Future State', featuring a lineup of speakers who brought forward-thinking perspectives on energy, environment and regional opportunity:

- Joshu Mountjoy, Sector Lead Energy, Earth Sciences NZ – Spatial planning and ecological assessment for offshore economic potential

- Andrew Clennett, CEO, Hiringa – An overview of Hiringa Energy's many projects
- Anne Probert, Director of Strategic and Sector Partnerships, Venture Taranaki – What 2025 held for Venture Taranaki

Together, the group wrapped up a year of rich discussions and sector updates by looking ahead and exploring what’s possible for our region. A huge thank you to all our presenters from the year and to the community that turn up and shape the conversation.
